We offer a true PACKAGE policy that simplifies your practice’s insurance, makes renewal easier and is customized to meet your specific needs. All coverages can be added onto a single policy with the aim of providing a simplified way to manage your practice insurance. Furthermore, multi-coverage discounts are applied when you choose dental professional liability with general liability and commercial property coverage, and we’ll give you a discounted rate for all.

Dental Professional Liability Coverage

Dental professional liability (malpractice) insurance is the cornerstone of what we do. Our policy language is specific to dentists.

Choose between claims-made or occurrence basis
Portable coverage across all 50 states, Washington D.C., and Puerto Rico
Optional coverage for legal entities either on a shared or separate limits basis
Automatic coverage for your non-dentist employees including dental hygienists and dental assistants
Broad vicarious liability protection is built into our policy form which covers you for the actions of anyone for whom you are legally responsible
We will not settle a claim without your consent (where allowed)
Free “tail” coverage exists for those dentist insureds who retire after being insured with
Dentists Choice for five years or in the event of death or permanent disability, where available.
First Aid coverage is included at $10,000 per occurrence
HIPAA Proceedings coverage is included at $10,000 per proceeding and $30,000 policy aggregate.

Employment Practices Liability Coverage

Employment practices liability insurance covers your practice for employment-related claims like allegations of discrimination, harassment or wrongful termination.

Dentists Choice has several different coverage solutions:

Coverage is claims-made and is either on a defense-only or defense and indemnity basis
Limits options from $25,000 up to $1,000,000 policy aggregate
Optional third-party liability is available which includes coverage for certain allegations when made by a non-employee, such as a practice patient or vendor
Wage and Hour coverage up to $50,000 is also available

General Liability Coverage

General liability insurance covers your practice for liability claims arising out of bodily injury, property damage or personal advertising injury that are not covered by dental professional liability coverage (i.e. slip and falls).

Coverage is occurrence basis
Limit options up to $5,000,000 per claim / $8,000,000 policy aggregate are available
Non-Owned or Hired Automobile liability is included at $1,000,000 policy aggregate
Medical Payments is included at $10,000 per occurrence
Medical Waste Legal Expense Reimbursement is included at $50,000 policy aggregate
Fire and Water Legal Liability is included at $500,000 per occurrence with limits up to $1,000,000 per occurrence available

ERISA and Employee Benefits Liability Coverage

ERISA and Employee Benefits liability insurance covers your practice for liability claims arising out of allegations of a breach of responsibility, obligation or duty imposed on you with respect to the administration of benefits pursuant to the Employee Retirement Income Security Act of 1974 or any of its amendments as well as allegations of negligence in the administration of benefits with respect to any pension, profit sharing, health or welfare plan or other employee benefit plan your practice may offer. Limit options up to $1,000,000 policy aggregate are available.

Commercial Property Coverage

Dentists Choice offers property coverage designed specifically for your dental
practice.

Coverage for your business personal property, including your electronic equipment, accounts receivables, valuable paper and records
Coverage for your building including additions under construction
Choose between our unique Valued Daily Limit option or your standard actual loss sustained
Built-in Ordinance or Law coverage up to $100,000 with optional increased limits available
Coverage for practice income resulting from off-premises utility interruption (when caused by a covered cause of loss)
